Industry needs your voices!

The Bug

Dear Artists and Community Members,

We know that times are tough for many of you. With so many cancellations, it’s been a devastating week for the arts and cultural industries. Industry bodies are working hard to advocate for government support but they need YOUR HELP to measure the exact scale of the damage to the industry, build the story of what it has cost, and how to best support you for the next few months. So if you derive direct or indirect income from the arts and cultural industry, please consider filling in these surveys today:

I Lost My Gig (for performers, production, crew, hospo workers, managers, booking agents & more in the music and events industry)-https://ilostmygig.net.au/…

MEAA Survey (for those working in the media, entertainment and arts industries)-https://www.meaa.org/coronavirus-survey/…

NAVA Survey (for visual artists, arts organisations and industry workers)-https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NAVA-COVID-19-Impact…

For more information and direction towards extra resources, have a look at this industry forum that was held yesterday afternoon:https://www.facebook.com/LaBoiteTheatreCompany/videos/2835420459839691/?t=0

Lastly, if you aren’t a member of your industry peak body, we recommend taking this opportunity to join up as they are doing fantastic work at the moment.

Stay safe and remember that we tell the stories of our culture every day and our work is important!

With Love, >> The Bug <<

BURN Arts Inc. and the Modifyre community wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country
upon which Modifyre takes place, the Bigambul Peoples.

We also wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country upon which we al live, learn and work.
We honour their Ancestors and pay our deepest respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

We extend that respect to all First Nations People, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the nation. We honour and respect their continued cultural and spiritual relationship
to their Traditional Lands, Seas and Waters and recognise their unique and valuable contribution to society.
