Strategic Planning Session - Modifyre and BURN Arts, Inc.

The Bug

Dear Modifyre/BURN Arts Dreamers,

We’d like to kick off this year with a Strategic Planning Session for Modifyre and Burn Arts, in order to help us inform the creation of a future plan for the next five years. This session is open to any members of our community (members and non-members) to come and envision the future of our Burn.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Fiona Maxwell, CEO of the Brisbane Powerhouse, as our guest facilitator for the day, to keep us honest and share her extensive organisational development experience with us.

We’re starting from a blank slate so everything and anything is up for discussion, however, we expect to be chatting about creating sustainable growth for the Burn, encouraging a healthy culture, putting down roots in the community, and finding financial stability.

We’ll also be conducting some Official Business at the end of the session, presenting the audited financials from 2017-18 and confirming our new Management Committee for 2019.

Venue: Brisbane Powerhouse

Date: Saturday 2nd Feb

9:00-11:00 Strategic Planning Session 11:30-12:00 Official Business

We’re excited, are you?

Remember that it’s market day on a Saturday, so parking will be limited.

If you can’t make it to the session or you have ideas/feedback afterwards, you can email it to president@burn-arts.org.

BURN Arts Inc. and the Modifyre community wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country
upon which Modifyre takes place, the Bigambul Peoples.

We also wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country upon which we al live, learn and work.
We honour their Ancestors and pay our deepest respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

We extend that respect to all First Nations People, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the nation. We honour and respect their continued cultural and spiritual relationship
to their Traditional Lands, Seas and Waters and recognise their unique and valuable contribution to society.
